Andrii is a pharmaceutical industry analyst, tech scout and writer with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) in drug discovery and biotech, digital transformation of pharma industry, and the advent of novel therapeutic modalities. In 2019 he co-founded BiopharmaTrend.com, a reputable media portal for the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently, Andrii is working independantly, consulting the company as a member of an advisory board.

Andrii’s articles and reports touch upon disruptive biotech startups, venture capital deals, drug discovery IPOs and platform companies. His articles were published on Forbes, and market research reports were referenced by some of the leading organizations (e.g. Deloitte, Forbes, European Parliament, Chemical & Engineering News, Genetic & Engineering News, etc).

He is frequenty invited to participate and speak at high-profile conferences, both in roles of science communicator and journalist, as well as a thought leader in artificial intelligence for biotech. In his latest keynote speach about foundation models in biology, Andrii shared the podium with Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of Belgium.

Andrii is an ex-Enamine veteran, having served for the company as Director of E-commerce and Marketing for more than 8 years. Enamine is a global supplier of fine chemicals and compound libraries for the pharmaceutical industry.

Before venturing into the pharmaceutical industry, media entrepreneurship and writing, Andrii used to work as a scientist.

He holds PhD in Physical Chemistry, and has research experience in bioinorganic and supramolecular chemistry, thin polymer films, nanomaterials, and sensors. During his years in the pharmaceutical industry, he received training in Medicinal Chemistry, Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) and Molecular Biology.

Andrii is Ukrainian, currently based in Spain.
